Bertha Park High School

Our Vision

This is our shared, inclusive vision. It represents the aspirations of everyone in our school community: pupils, parents and staff.

Why are we doing what we're doing?

Our learners deserve the very best educational experiences and learning environment they need to grow, learn, succeed and fulfil their potential in the world.

What are we doing?

We are making Bertha Park High School a place where everyone wants to be.

How are we doing it?

Relationships are absolutely key to our success. How we manage the relationships between our teachers, our learners and their parents is vital to the success of our school. Our school values: Respect, Respect, Respect reflect the need for:

  • Respect for yourself
  • Respect for others
  • Respect for the Bertha Park Way

We are ensuring our pupils have access to the best teachers, the best learning resources, the best experiences and the best opportunities to learn and create.

We are maximising our young people's mental health & well-being by embracing mindfulness and teaching how to manage and achieve mental wellness. We adopt a growth mindset in all we do.

We, thoughtfully, use all the technology at our disposal to create a learning environment and learning experiences which are stimulating, relevant, engaging, fun and accelerate the pace of learning.

We hand-pick each member of staff to ensure we have only the best people working with us.

We are ensuring learning is fit for purpose: relevant, inspirational, creative.

We value, promote and celebrate achievement, regardless of level and discipline.

We are creating the most modern and supportive environment for learning informed by research and examples of best practice across the world. Our school is safe, welcoming, friendly, understanding and exciting.

Our teachers are constantly updating their skills, employing the best teaching techniques and utilising the latest in digital technology to accelerate learning.

We are instilling in our learners a sense of pride and belonging and a respect for themselves, each other and the way our school operates.

How will we know we've been successful?

  • If you're a pupil, and you don't go to Bertha Park High, you'll wish you did
  • If you're a parent and your child doesn't attend Bertha Park High, you'll wish they did
  • If you're a member of staff and you don't work here, you'll wish you did
